Palin Coverage describes Journalist Bristol Palin is in the midst of a family crisis. Her family is beside her and anyone who has witnessed the foul coverage, innuendo and efforts by the smear merchants to discredit her is soon to be a part of her cheering section. Bristol isn’t “in your face” nor is she trying to make a statement with her pregnancy. The left wing press is bewildered at the concept that anyone can do anything without a political motivation and they are sinking deeper into their own quicksand. The more they struggle to find fault, the deeper in their own sick slime they fall. The thing they fear most and the thing that drives them to expose their desperation and depravity is Sarah Palin who has more authenticity in her little finger than they had in their entire Convention.
Anyone who has reached voting age in America knows of incidents similar to the one Bristol faces. When viewed from the left, Bristol is a victim entitled to a variety of government giveaways and hand outs. She has a right to do with her body whatever she chooses to do and her pregnancy is a testament to her freedom. When viewed from a family perspective, she’s a young girl trying to get through life and is in a place where she needs her family and their support. The left either won’t or can’t understand this.
To date, the argument from the left and charges against Bristol or her family have not contributed a single constructive concept. Watching them attempt to besmirch the young lady with their petty accusations further articulates the vacant, empty and ignorant state of their worldview. The mud slinging over a little girl in trouble says abundantly more about those covering the situation than could possibly be said about the Palins.
If I had any doubts about where I should cast my vote, the coverage of Bristol Palin has convinced me that the left has absolutely nothing to offer.Sarah Palin knew her family situation before she accepted the VP nomination and had something on her side the left can’t comprehend. She and her family were right and proper about their approach with their daughter and honestly didn’t care about the trash the journalists have to offer.
Liberal without even TryingObama’s “change” has appears to be an exchange. This is but a tiny fragment of an example of those things that have happened to lessen individual freedom. It does not call to account financial transactions or a variety of other germane information. It is probably a good thing that people and their past may be immediately known to police forces and government agencies. Getting thieves, child molesters and murderers off the streets is always a good thing yet for those guilty of comparatively minor infractions such as vagrancy, disorderly conduct or possibly even traffic offenses, it may not. There is a degree of forgiveness that should be afforded an individual who has made the effort to clean up their act even if that forgiveness comes to them by way of a different geographic location. Increasing the government’s ability to survey, investigate and control an individual has long been the dream of governmental authorities wishing to provide sustainable order among the people. Technology, without further legal augmentation makes this job far easier but it does so at the expense of the autonomy of the individual. Traditionally, legislation evoking increased taxation and erosion into personal freedom has been the province of the more liberal leaning of our leaders. Even without legislation that would further facilitate this erosion, technology has taken steps that they could have only dreamed of in years past. During this election cycle, voters need to consider not only the credibility and integrity of the Candidates but they must also evaluate the value of “Freedom”. Do we want an even more extreme version of monitoring of our lives than that which was envisioned in the story “1984”? Is privacy a thing that should be discarded to the trash heap or is it a thing that should be preserved? The issues offered as talking points by both candidates are sometimes an indicator of how they would respond to like issues when given the opportunity. Freedom, privacy and individual rights have never been a topic broached by a candidate during my lifetime but it may well be the defining issue I will take with me when I cast my vote. To date everything involving Obama’s “change” has appeared to me as an exchange. The concept is that he wants to exchange my rights and give them to the government to manage for me. No thanks.
Stimulus SpendingStimulus SpendingOn Friday, January 11, 2008, Hillary Clinton proposed a stimulus package of 70 Billion Dollars. On Saturday, January 12, 2008, Hussein Obama offered a stimulus package of 75 Billion Dollars. Stimulus spending is simply MORE spending! This Stimulus Spending Package addresses mortgage holders who over-borrowed when money was comparatively cheap. In addition Clinton’s plan offers to extend unemployment benefits in anticipation of a looming predicted recession. With a single war on terrorism on two fronts, a sinking dollar, gasoline over $3.00 a gallon, out of control immigration and entitlement packages that are breaking the US economy, is there a sane person out there who believes this is a reasonable approach?
Impeachment, NOT for Bush and CheneyImpeachment, NOT for Bush and CheneyThe Presidency is not a popularity contest. President Bush and Vice President Cheney do not deserve consideration for impeachment and history will record this fact. They deserve far better than they have received from the American public. As decisions had to be made regarding the situation in Iraq, Bush and Cheney took the bull by the horns, identified the Axis of Evil and proceeded with due diligence. Unfortunately, taking a poll to see if America should or should not defend itself after 9/11, was not an option. Using all information available to them at the time, Bush and Cheney took Colin Powell’s advice and attempted to “cut off the head of the serpent”. Whether the public agrees or disagrees, Impeachment is NOT for Bush and Cheney.
Interesting fact on Poverty in the CitiesAlmost 150 years later we are still trying to explain the system of government in the United States and what is so unique about it. Look what spreading the wealth has done to all of the countries that have tried to spread the wealth equally. The poor are still there and suffering and the greed and corruption of the politicians and wealthy are profound and oppression of the poor is heartbreaking.
A Liberal MystiqueAfter reviewing the DailyKos and Huffingtonpost it was found that the level of vitriolic hatred that is expressed in these interactive web sites is astounding. A review of the information contained therein is really unimportant as are the wide variety of topics addressed. The crucial and disturbing realization is the intensity and inconsistency of the various messages discussed. Both sites are liberal forums and as such are due a degree of license to deviate from mainstream thinking, however, the unbridled hatred and the relish with which potentially devastating facts are relayed are radically disproportionate to any constructive result. There was very little Liberal Mystique found on these sites, only distain.
Sarah Palin Doesn’t Honor Dysfunctional![]() The transparency and bias of the media has gotten so pervasive, so predictable and so much a part of life that it has become accepted. They lie, twist the truth and tell half a story whenever it suits their agenda while we, the consumers, take it. There have been dozens of examples of “media squirm” over the last several days, yet Sarah Palin simply knows the truth and is content to stand with it. What a remarkable example she is! Underlying the liberal agenda is utter fear. This is not fear of Sarah Palin’s agenda; it goes far deeper than that. Sarah Palin has brought back authenticity, common sense and morality. People who pander are the diametric opposite of this. For almost forty years the Socialists, and professional smear merchants in the media, have perfected setting the agenda. Palin has the horsepower to break that grip and they know it. They can’t permit her to remain standing. On the night of her acceptance of the nomination as Vice Presidential candidate for the Republican Party, Keith Olbermann and his flunkies were unable to attack the content of her speech so they went after her in context, not content. One of his more meaningless gnomes attempted to coin a memorable phrase; “The conservatives have found their Obama” he said. This was the best he had to offer as it filled the narrow vision allowed by his dogmatic world view. Obama is not just his candidate, Obama is his icon and he could see nothing or higher significance than Obama. He was unable to see that there are commodities that make one great and that greatness is a product of those tenets rather than a bestowed title. Now that Sarah Palin has broken the ice that covers the pool of common sense, somehow, it is the task of news consumers to see past the pabulum we’ve come to accept. When a Vice Presidential candidate can reference the remarks of the Senate Majority Leader and use his condemning remarks as an endorsement, she has shown us what it looks like to beat them at their own game. If we want this Administration to be successful, we must emulate her approach. That means aiming at principal over the rhetoric rather than allowing the media to continue setting the agenda. Note that there was not a word of defensiveness or admonition in her remarks. She kept her eye on the situation and lined the situation up with the issues.
Socialism; say Yes or NoThe time has come for America to make a choice. The arch enemy of Socialism is Individual Rights. The 08 election has become a referendum that will determine which path America will take. As the primary issues are presented IE immigration, economy or the wars that are currently taking place, everyone wants to discuss the stance each candidate will take. The media will parse the words and regurgitate them in light of “how” the candidate has either voted or expressed himself on related issues. They might draw a line indicating that on “XYZ” issue the candidate is conservative or liberal but that’s as far as it goes. At no time are issues framed to reflect candidate’s response to individual rights VS communal rights. This is THE primary issue and the pabulum the media spews avoids even the words that describe it.
The Pendulum That Can Only Swing To The LeftHas anyone noticed that there has existed a strange balance in the Political Landscape of the last 40 years? The two party system has become consolidated and defined by stagnation or movement to the Left. Since there seems to be no room or advantageous draw for the political pendulum to balance Right, it no longer seeks to move in that direction. The pendulum goes to center, stops then is forced to the Left with a plethora of special interests whose stated goal is to push it to the Left. No longer are ideas, concepts and mechanisms debated in terms of focusing on personal freedom, framed by the Constitution and dedicated toward “Liberty For All”. They are halted by an unseen wall of agenda driven interests that no longer have Self Governance and Individual Rights as their focal point.

A Case for FaithA Case for FaithMaking a case for faith in the absence of impending traumatic or catastrophic doom is somewhat useless. Evangelicals could well spend their time volunteering at a local hospital or stocking a food pantry or doing one of those things that people of faith often do rather than attempting to convince an unbeliever of the merits of The Creator. Recently, it has become fashionable to ridicule those who espouse trust and faith in an entity greater than themselves. As the 2008 election draws nearer and nearer, bickering, discontent, dissatisfaction and general disappointment fills the air on both sides of the Political aisle. Perhaps this is the exact time that a case for faith should be made. The Case for Faith
Howard and Hillary Dirty Tricks to Bamboozle EveryoneHoward and Hillary Dirty Tricks to Bamboozle EveryoneWith the Florida Primaries behind us, Howard Dean and Hillary will have to come clean soon. The problem is that the dirty tricks they used to bamboozle everyone will not become apparent until later. Anyone familiar with the LBJ School of under the table tricks will see the strategists for who they are. Those expecting a fair shake and honest interactions from their government will walk right by it, shaking their head as to why things appear so convoluted. Howard and Hillary have the Democratic nomination sewn up in a tight little bundle. Nothing can be proven as to how it works and it is within a cat’s whisker of being legal, as long as everyone keeps their mouth shut. This is right in line with everything else the Clinton ’s do. McCain EndorsementsMcCain EndorsementsAnyone who is paying attention to the election year antics has to have noticed that John McCain has been picking up endorsements from many of the party faithful. This is a twin edge sword. John McCain, a former American hero deserves respect, however, we are not electing a former hero, we are electing a President. There’s an old saying; “a man is known by the company he keeps” John McCain continues to pick up endorsements from the group of egocentric politicians who are known to be Washington insiders. The question the voters have to face as they call for change in Washington is do we want to send an insider back to Washington and put him in a different char or do we need fresh blood? Some of the McCain endorsements are somewhat concerning. McCain Endorsements |
