When it comes to Looking Good, the 2008 election will be between Mitt Romney and John Edwards. No one else need apply. Media coverage regarding Edwards has been in direct proportion to the enormity of threat he appears to pose to the anointed Hillary. Other than that, the media has its marching orders from the Clinton camp. They are allowed to focus on the image that Edwards has portrayed but have been instructed not to play up the “issues” angle. This is indeed a brilliant strategy as Edwards, loath to flop-flop, is fully across the Political spectrum on the issues. He is all over the demographic map but he does so with such flair! John Edwards, AKA Wonderboy is simply pleasing to everyone which is a basic tenet of the Socialistic School from whence he has emerged. Never having served in the Military, Edwards doesn’t have to worry about being “Swift Boated” as was the case with his former brilliant mentor / looser, John Kerry, however, he does have his share of skeletons in his closet.

As an example, the following are quotes, from Edwards, on gun control. In July of 07, he tells us “You don't need AK-47 to hunt; renew assault weapons ban.” This sounds in keeping of the Democratic Party line. Control guns and further, decide which guns are suitable for the “uneducated and easily led” American public to own. The fact is that the AK47 shoots a 7.62 X 39 shell, similar in characteristics to the Winchester 30-30, America’s favorite hunting weapon. The AK has gotten bad press as it is the favorite weapon of the radical Middle East . In Sept 07, John Edwards, AKA Wonderboy tells us “In rural America , hunting and gun ownership is a way of life.” Pardon the confusion as the world tries to dissect and discern the real meaning behind the conflicting statements. On the one hand, gun ownership is a way of life, presumably not to be intruded upon by the government and on the other gun ownership requires governmental intervention so that Americans are assisted in their selection of their weapon. Not even a hint of respect can be found for the individual’s rights to decide for themselves if they should own a gun or what kind of gun it should be! Maybe these statements are intended to please everyone. Maybe these
statements prove that Edwards has no idea what’s going on around him. Maybe the statements reflect the pattern of most of the other positions on most of the other issues that John Edwards, AKA Wonderboy has taken. That is all over the map. It is this lack of respect for the individual that seems to be pervasive as his campaign ensues.

One thing that remains consistent in the career path of John Edwards, AKA Wonderboy is his dedication to liberalism. What makes him dangerous is that he honestly believes in it. Mark Levin has characterized Edwards as “another of America’s slip and fall attorneys” due to his ambulance chasing past where his fortune was made while Rush Limbaugh usually refers to him as the “Breck Girl”. He was the first in his family to earn a College education and has put his training to good use taking dollars out of the Insurance Companies pockets and putting them in his own. His parents were both members of Labor Unions and made a modest living in North Carolina where being a Union member was not necessarily a popular thing to do.

Typical of other votes cast by Edwards are his position on “Hate Crimes” Edwards, AKA Wonderboy voted to adding sexual orientation to the definition of hate crimes. What may make his vote more palatable might be his explanation or definition “Hate Crime”. To date, no one has ever prosecuted a “love crime” so voting in favor of expanding hate crime authority to protect perversion, is something of a mystery to most Americans. Of all the Candidates on the left side of the isle, John Edwards, AKA Wonderboy may well be the least obtrusive of them all. He is in sync with the other candidates in terms of positions on the issues but one really has to stand back and admire his hair as there is very little else that is admirable about him. Being void of any real conviction other than to himself, he does not cut a particularly obnoxious figure in the headlong pursuit of Socialism that has been the trademark of the Democratic Party. However, he does keep the other candidates looking for more ways to lean further to the left in order to compensate for Wonderboy’s influence on the campaign trail.

Perhaps the thing that is so offensive or irritating about John Edwards, AKA Wonderboy is the level of phoniness he brings to the table. Everything he stands for is either superficial or symbolic. This is a clear hold-over from his days playing number two to Kerry. His personal selfishness is best characterized by his career as a “slip and fall” lawyer as well as his residential situation. His 28,000 foot home, the most expensive in Orange County NC ., would overlook a trailer park if it were not set as back as far from the road as it is. Anyone who thinks this set back is an accident, please raise your hand.

As he tours the Country promoting himself in his campaign, he continually makes reference to his compassion for the “little guy”. To date, just like everything else with John Edwards, AKA Wonderboy, it is just more talk as his actions don’t reflect his words. Of all the candidates, Edwards, by far is the emptiest shirt. This is quite an achievement when stacked up against the likes of Hillary Clinton but Wow! does he ever look good.
