Christmas Spirit Democrat Style

The Democrats are up in arms this time. Mike Huckabee has put out his ad wishing the voters of Iowa a Merry Christmas. The nerve of this guy allowing the bookshelf behind him, forming the Cross, typically associated with Easter, to appear to move as the camera pans to claim both he and the Christmas tree in the picture. Huckabee is obviously making vicious attacks and ignoring the Christmas Spirit Democrat Style. All day long, the media has been carefully dissecting Huckabee’s ad to determine if he did or did not intend to allow the cross, which appears in the background, to be viewed as a part of this devastating blow to secularism.

The ACLU has been alerted and they are in the process of calling their legal team back to headquarters. They have been dispatched to attack Nativity Scenes throughout the Heartland as there are still pockets of resistance to the secularization of Christmas. Such insolence will not be tolerated! This particular Christmas message has really gone over the line, background cross and all. Things like this might lead to society corrupting concepts like replacing Santa with Manger Scenes featuring Baby Jesus. Oh where will it end! We are seeing Christmas Spirit, Republican Style but to be fair, we need to see Christmas Spirit Democrat Style as well.

In response to Huckabee’s outrageous, most offensive and demeaning Christmas message, the Democrats are considering the introduction of their latest emblem, an upside down hammer and sickle in place of the cross. They will not allow this blatant challenge to go unanswered as they will run a “Happy Holidays” ad of their own. The ad is slated to pan from Hillary as she sits reviewing a stack of FBI files to Obama who will be shown studying recent abortion statistics with Oprah. John Edwards will be seen in the background primping and spraying his hair as the true meaning of the Christmas Spirit Democrat Style is discussed. This year, instead of sex toys hung on the tree with care, Hillary is counting her campaign contributions and placing them in two distinct stacks. One that will be available for audit or review and the other will not.

The redistribution of income and carbon footprint coupons that are handed out by the Democrats during “Seasons Greetings” time of year will be neatly stacked awaiting the payola that will determine who gets them. Santa Gore will make his way down a triple enlarged chimney yet will not have any soot smudges as a result. Everyone knows that his sensitivity to racial issues is paramount to his public image especially at this festive “Winter Holiday” time of year. He will not dress up and do a “black face” or tap-dance routine again this year. Watching his red sleigh cut an exhaust free figure across the sky has more than enough allusion to the three wise men or maybe the camels and oppressed
oxen but it will certainly do more than enough to remind us of the myth that is Christmas Spirit Democrat Style.
