Has anyone noticed that there has existed a strange balance in the Political Landscape of the last 40 years? The two party system has become consolidated and defined by stagnation or movement to the Left. Since there seems to be no room or advantageous draw for the political pendulum to balance Right, it no longer seeks to move in that direction. The pendulum goes to center, stops then is forced to the Left with a plethora of special interests whose stated goal is to push it to the Left. No longer are ideas, concepts and mechanisms debated in terms of focusing on personal freedom, framed by the Constitution and dedicated toward “Liberty For All”. They are halted by an unseen wall of agenda driven interests that no longer have Self Governance and Individual Rights as their focal point.

This agenda is bad for America on all counts. With no organized representation for the Rights and freedom of “We the People”, the individual; the Political balance has been put into a Left tilted tailspin. Good ideas are not getting the exposure they need and debate has been squelched on all sides due to ideological pressures. The Political Left is pushing for a dictatorial version of equality for all, in most cases, through redistribution of resources or some form of Government mandated, allocation of wealth. The ripple effects of this call on man made authority to determine the degree of victimization, minority status and a host of other criteria to validate the deservedness of the individual. This is diametrically opposed to personal responsibility and self determination. The two can not be reconciled.

The Political Right, until recently, has represented primarily corporate concerns. This ethic has given way to a less rigid appearance of emulating the precepts of the Founding Fathers. In many ways, the traits of the Republican Party are indistinguishable from those on the Political Left. Instead, the Political Right has reverted to Political Expediency rather than focusing on Political Principal leaving voters with “leftist light” as opposed to any real definable vision of Personal Freedom. The individual, after the pattern of John Wayne, has been virtually eliminated or ruled out of existence. People are categorized rather than allowed to define themselves and follow their conscience. The driving force behind each Party is directed toward the benefit of the Party itself yet there has been no organized force to protect the individual.

* Where is the representation for the concepts, precepts and goals that have made America the powerhouse / Super Power on this planet?

* Why are those principals being discarded in deference of a socialized regiment?

* Why does the educational system, in the USA seek to vilify significant American achievements while amplifying minority ascendancy?

Only the Constitution protects us from plunging headlong over a cliff. As Bill Clinton was quoted during Hillary’s nomination bid; “It is the poor that need a President.” The international political landscape is dotted with dictatorships, Socialism and oppression of the citizens of those affected countries. Only a few Countries, mainly America , Australia and Israel pay heed to the principals and tenets of Freedom for the people who reside within their boarders. The rest follow a Dictatorial way of life. The GNP of those Countries reflects the apathy contained under such political oppression. It seems America , sensing those countries to be “normal” seems to be pursuing their failed systems rather than strengthening its own. This will lead to the downfall of the “American Experiment” and the results won’t be too far off.

The harm in having the Government determine who is and is not deserving of preferential treatment is that “What the Government has the power to give; it has the power to take away”. Having the Government make these determinations endows the Government with ultimate authority. This is in conflict with the Declaration of Independence which clearly states that people are “endowed by their Creator with certain unalienable Rights, that among these are Life, Liberty and the pursuit of Happiness.”

The Political Left, focusing on the injustices of the Nation, current or past, feels that direct Government enforcement of all rights and liberties as well as intrusion in all aspects of life, is the only way to assure “fairness”. The Political Right responds to this on a case by case basis rather than putting forward a template or design such as that which is contained in the Constitution. The result is continued erosion of the rights of the individual.
