After reviewing the DailyKos and Huffingtonpost it was found that the level of vitriolic hatred that is expressed in these interactive web sites is astounding. A review of the information contained therein is really unimportant as are the wide variety of topics addressed. The crucial and disturbing realization is the intensity and inconsistency of the various messages discussed. Both sites are liberal forums and as such are due a degree of license to deviate from mainstream thinking, however, the unbridled hatred and the relish with which potentially devastating facts are relayed are radically disproportionate to any constructive result. There was very little Liberal Mystique found on these sites, only distain.

These sights should be reviewed by all people wishing to understand the people on all ends of the political spectrum. Those who participate or interact with these sites display unhappiness with all issues in life that on its own merit is very disturbing! Finding a positive comment regarding anything other than the destruction of a traditional or conservative cause or person is almost impossible. While liberal attitudes are intended to challenge mainstream thinking, the intent found in these sites surpasses the liberal mystique as it plumbs the depths of liable and slander. What prompts these individuals to react to their environment with such a ferocious attitude? What measures can or should be taken to appease them? Should such measures be considered?

The contrast between conservative and liberal thinkers is a positive one. Liberals should protect their mystique with all vigor; otherwise they too would become mainstream. Both seek common ground which is frequently found to yield a righteous answer to a given situation. When one side eliminates themselves from contention due to their intolerance and abusive approach, the commonality of a subject becomes non-existent. This is not a productive approach and it by no means leads to conflict resolution. These sites and their contributors omit the substance of an issue so that the participants are painted with a black hat due to their ideology. They twist and distort issues beyond recognition then celebrate facts and conclusions of their own creation. After all is said and done, they appear to desire dramatic effect to justify their own vigorous hatred. One soon realizes that the intense feelings already exist and are in search of a topic, subject or issue that will justify the intensity. This constitutes something other than the liberal mystique.

America has plenty of entities that seek its demise. Foreign elements throughout history have been responsible for terrorist attacks and in some cases outright war. At this point in time, there seems to be an appreciable number of participants that seek the demise of America from the inside. Many of them make clear their intentions on these web sites. Most American citizens cannot understand where the fuel that promotes this vitriolic attitude originates. Given the level of disgruntled thinking expressed on these sites, it seems America has a growing number of angry adversaries internally. Some sort of pressure release for these people must be sought. Their level of anger and intensity is not a healthy thing for either themselves or the country.
